Carolinas Chapter of the NcrS

UPCOMING EVENTS

our chapter

The Carolinas Chapter, formed in 1996, is part of the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) and is dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and enjoyment of Corvettes 1953 - 2007. The Carolinas Chapter brings a part of the National NCRS to the local area where you can become involved in activities within the Carolinas.

We invite you to join us at one of our road tours, technical sessions, judging schools, or judging events.  Check out our Events page for all future events! Our focus is primarily Corvettes, but good cars bring good friends together.  Won't you come and join us?

We cover the Carolinas with members from the coast to the mountains.

The Carolinas Chapter is proud to be a Top Flight® Chapter.

JULY/AUGUST 2025

FROM THE CHAPTER CHAIR . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Ed Harbour

The chapter’s fall event was held at Universal Technical Institute in Mooresville, NC, with outstanding participation from members and guests. We had 41 registered participants with five Flight judged cars and three Sportsman displays, which included Garry Barnes’s Bowtie 1967 coupe. There was an informative judging school Friday afternoon on GM transistor ignition led by Jesse Walker, who is an instructor at the institute. Fred once again put together a team of qualified judges that conducted thorough and fair evaluations, adhering to our NCRS standards. The dedication and expertise of judging teams were evident throughout the process, and their constructive feedback will no doubt assist the car owners in their further judging pursuits.

Looking Ahead

Our next CCNCRS event is the annual Christmas party on Sunday, December 7, 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will be hosted by David and Mary Barrett at Shannamara Club House, 4103 Shannamara Drive in Matthews, NC. Please bring an unwrapped toy as a donation to Toys for Tots. This final event of the year will count as the club’s charity event for Chapter Top Flight qualification. The first national event of 2026 is the Winter Regional, January 14-17 in Melbourne, Florida, which many of us will attend. The first 2026 chapter event will be a combination judging school and technical session February 21. With the success of the fall judging event, we look forward to building on this momentum for future activities. Your continued participation and support are vital to the Carolinas Chapter. Please stay tuned for announcements in The Redline Times regarding upcoming meetings and events. Thank you for your dedication to preserving the Corvette legacy. Together, we continue to foster a vibrant and knowledgeable community of owners, restorers, and enthusiasts.
