The leaves are out, so hopefully the pollen season is about over. I hate it when I wash the car, walk into the house before heading out for a drive, and when I return, the car is yellow-green again. Welcome to the South, the land of pine and oak pollen. The good news is the plants are blooming, the weather is warm enough to put the tops down, and those with summer-run tires can drive their Corvettes again.
The chapter’s fall event has been finalized. It will take place September 8-9 at the Holiday Inn, Asheville East, NC. The hotel is just off I-40 and very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Mark your calendars. Hotel reservations are open. Three chapter events coming up are a judging school this Saturday, April 29, a tech session on May 20, and road tour August 5. Information for two are in this issue.
We are trying to arrange next March’s event at Hendrick’s again but at this point in time, we have no date. Just a quick note: Next year’s Florida Regional has a change in venue and date. It will be outside on January 17 – 20, 2024, at the American Muscle Car Museum, Melbourne, FL. www.americanmusclecarmuseum.com Fun & Sun would not respond to the chapter when they tried to book for 2024.
