2022 is Finally Here

I cannot believe that 2021 is almost gone, and like the end of 2019, we are still having to deal with Covid-19. When will it end?? Never??

The mid-December tornados that devastated the heartland did minor damage to the NCM and caused a fire at the Corvette Assembly plant. Corvette assembly was suspended for a week. However, significant damage was incurred at the NCM Motorsport Park, and it will remain closed for some time.

The Annual Meeting and the future of CCNCRS

Wow, where has the year gone? Once again, I thank Darrell Hinklin for hosting the fantastic 25th anniversary picnic in August. The fall judging event was a success. Weather was great, and we had seven nice cars. Despite a struggle to get judges, Fred had all the cars judged by mid-afternoon. I also thank Reba Whittington for all her help in arranging the food and hotel accommodations.

The chapter had a very large presence at the National Convention in Palm Springs with 19 members in attendance. Tom Bulluck drove his 2002 on the road tour and in addition received ribbons for both Top Flight and Longest-Distance-Driven. More about Tom’s adventures later in this issue. The chapter received the 2019 Chapter Top-Flight Award as well as the NCRS Foundation’s Diamond designation for donations. These two are due to the active participation of members.
