Bob Kinstrey discusses the year’s end for the Carolinas Chapter of the NCRS, and the elephant in the room: 2019 NCRS National Convention. Volunteers needed!
The National Convention is over! Tom Barr and his team did a great job. I had the opportunity to volunteer on Sunday, helping with the unloading of cars and checking gas tank levels. It was good that Sunday was one of the cooler days—temperature was only 105o F. And half the cars arrived after 4 PM. There were five semis, something we really do need to plan for next year as I suspect we may have even more.
The year is half over. The 2019 National Convention, which we will host, is now only 12 months away. Planning has already begun. Based on the turnout for the regional, we are anticipating 120 to 140 cars for the National. This means we will need lots of volunteers. The heavy volunteer requirements will be Sunday and Monday so please mark your calendar, plan your vacation, and sign up to help. We will need volunteers to lead or help with the day trips as bus coordinators. We also need someone to help organize all the volunteers. If you would like to help in any capacity, please contact me.
